Stefano Lodola si esibisce anche come cantante lirico nei teatri di Tokyo
—CARRARA— «IL BIANCO che vedete sulle montagne? No, non è neve. Quello è marmo». Dall’altra parte del mondo—nella terra che un tempo fu dei samurai e degli imperatori, e che ora è patria dell’high tech e dei fumetti—vive un carrarino di 25 anni che racconta delle Apuane a un popolo che a stento sa della nostra esistenza. In Giappone, a Tokyo, vive un ingegnere dalle doti intellettuali prodigiose che fra una specializzazione universitaria e l’altra, fra un concorso e un master, parla di Carrara, delle sue cave, della sua storia, delle sue tradizioni. E spiega a un pubblico esterefatto da dove deriva il candore delle Apuane: racconta del marmo bianchissimo che da secoli, anzi, da millenni viene estratto ed esportato per abbellire e nobilitare ogni angolo del pianeta.
STEFANO Lodola, «libero pensatore italiano, ingegnere, cantante, show man» — così lui stesso si presenta nel suo sito internet «Il volo dell’Allodola» (www.stefano.jp) — si è trasferito in Giappone dopo la laurea in Ingegneria gestionale all’Università di Pisa, per specializzarsi in gestione d’impresa a Tokyo, dove sta terminando il dottorato in Economia e Commercio.Maoltre ai freddi calcoli matematici, Stefano — che è anche iscritto al Mensa, l’associazione che raccoglie membri con un quoziente intellettivo superiore alla media—ha scoperto un talento per l’arte, la musica in particolare, appassionandosi al canto lirico. E, unendo queste sue capacità a una naturale propensione per il piacere di comunicare e di insegnare, ha cominciato a esibirsi come cabarettista nei locali della metropoli giapponese. Lui, «creatura esotica» proprio nella terra che per noi rappresenta l’«esotismo per eccellenza», si è divertito a esportare un poco d’Italia nel paese del Sol Levante. Risultato: un incredibile successo.
ALCUNE delle esibizioni di Stefano sono anche visibili su YouTube, e proprio il sito che divulga video amatoriali da tutto il mondo ha messo in contatto il nostro carrarino con un altro promotore delle locali tradizioni: Brunello Pucci. Trovato sul web il video delle «Zattere del marmo» — l’esperimento che Pucci tentò quest’estate a Marina —Stefano ha deciso di mostrarlo durante i suoi spettacoli: ebbene, pare che il pubblico giapponese si sia divertito di gusto nel guardare le zattere del signor Pucci (purtroppo affondate, ndr). Si è talmente divertito, che il filmato su YouTube — sottotitolato da Stefano in inglese e giapponese —ha superato le 300 visualizzazioni in 5 giorni. «Un successo che ci ha dato nuovi stimoli—ha commentato lo stesso Pucci —. Perciò stiamo organizzandoci per andare in Giappone a presentare altre iniziative dove Carrara e il marmo avranno una vetrina internazionale, perché il divertimento, la cultura e le risate possono dar vita a un circolo virtuoso per promuovere la cultura e le tradizioni locali». E per insegnare anche all’altro capo del mondo che non è di neve il candore delle nostre montagne.

—CARRARA—“The white you see on the mountains? No, that’s not snow. That’s marble”. On the other side of the world lives a 25 years old citizen from Carrara who tells about our mountains to a people that barely knows about our existences. In Tokyo, Japan, there lives an engineer with prodigious intellect jumping from one degree or contest to another, who talks about Carrara, its caves, its history, its traditions. It explains to an amazed audience the reason for the whiteness of the Apuane (the mountains near Carrara): that’s the white marble that for millennia has been extracted and exported to beautify and ennoble every corner of the planet.
STEFANO Lodola, “Italian free thinker, engineer, singer, show man” - as he defines himself on his website “The Skylark’s flight” (www.stefano.jp) - has moved to Japan after graduating in Engineering Management at the University of Pisa, to specialize in management (MBA) in Tokyo, where he is carrying on his PhD in commerce. But apart from cold mathematical calculations, Stefano - who is also a member of Mensa, the association that brings together members with a intellectual quotient in the top 2% of population - discovered a talent for the arts, music in particular, and got into operatic singing. And by combining these skills with a natural propensity for the pleasure of communicating and teaching, began to perform as a show man in the halls of the Japanese metropolis. “Exotic creature” precisely in the country which in turn for us represents paramount exoticism, he takes pleasure in exporting a little of Italy. Result: an incredible success.
SOME of Stefano’s shows are also visible on YouTube, and on that website he took contact with another promoter of local traditions: Brunello Pucci. Found on the web video of ‘The rafts of marble’ - the experiment tried this summer in Marina di Carrara by Pucci - Stefano decided to show it during his performances: well, it seems that the Japanese public enjoyed watching Mr. Pucci’s rafts (unfortunately sunk). It was so amused that the video on YouTube - by Stefano subtitled in English and Japanese received over 300 views in 5 days. “This success gave us new ideas - commented Pucci himself -. So we are organizing ourselves for going to Japan for other initiatives where Carrara and marble have an international showcase, because entertainment, culture and laughter can create a virtuous circle to promote local culture and traditions. ” And also to teach at the other end of the world that is not snow the white in our mountains.

「ヒバリの飛球」という公式ホームページ（www.stefano.jp）で「イタリア人自由思想化、エンジニア、歌手、ショーマン」と自称しているステファノ・ロドラは、ピサ大学の経営工学修士課程を卒業した後、東京（早稲田大学）で経営管理学を学び、現在商学博士課程に在学している。冷たい計算意外に、世界人口の上位2%の知能を有する人の会「メンサ」の会員でもあるステファノは、芸術の才能を発見した。特にオペラ。その才能と交流の意欲の融合として、東京のあらゆる場所でショーマンとして活躍し始めた。エキゾチックな存在である彼は、我々にとってエキゾチックな国民へのイタリア文化の輸出に大成功を収めている。
ステファノの出演はユーチューブでも公開されており、あそこでプルネッロ・プッチというもう一人の文化の推進者と知り合った。ステファノはぶるねっろのプロジェクトであった「大理石を運ぶ筏」の再現を取材し、日本でのショーで見せた。日本の聴衆は非常に興味を示したそうで、インターネットでもその動画5日間で300回再生されている。ブルネッロはこう言う。「新しい刺激を生む成功だ。日本で他のプロジェクトを実現するように企画し始めた。カッラーラと大理石のショーケースについてのエンターテインメントも異文化の推進になるでしょう」。地球の反対側でも、あの山の白さは雪ではなくて大理石であることを教えるためにもなるのでしょう。

発見－若いロドラさんは天才の会に
ステファノ、日本で活躍する天才

経歴－ピサ大学卒、日本に留学
名声－ステファノ・ロドラ。オペラやバイオリン愛す数学の天才。
メンサ（ Mensa ）と言う、世界人口の上位２％しか入れない会がある。世界の国々に地方支部まである。「メンサ」はラテン語で「テーブル」のことで、みんな平等に座ることを指す。会員は顕著な知能（ IQ ）の方々ばかりで、その中に Carrara 市（トスカーナ州、イタリア）の若い市民（２４歳）ステファノ・ロドラがいる。ピサ大学で経営工学の修士号を得た後、日本政府の国費留学生として来日し、現在国際経営学専攻を通っている。名誉なる会のことを知り、すぐ入会試験に挑戦したくなった。
彼は素直にこう言う。「いつも他の能力より知能を重視したから、高い知能の人の会のイメージは魅力的だった。メンサに入っていることによって、メダルをもらうというより、価値のある人に関わる機会ができるのだ」。硬い決意と主張する意志が感じられる。この若い男は本当の自分を見つけたのは日本に来てからだそうだ。彼の時間の流れは非常に速い。次々と周りの人より素早く目標を達成し、そしてできた時間に色々な活動に挑戦している。
「２００７年に趣味としてバイオリンとピアノを習い始めたが、最終的に行き着いたのは声楽。今通っている修士課程に必要な全ての単位を得ているので歌に専念できるのだ」。既に趣味の範囲を超え、日本の人々の歓喜のために出演している。彼の独創的なショーでは、交互にイタリア民謡と歌曲を歌ったり楽しくおかしくて意味深いトークをしたりして人々を触発しているようだ。彼のモットーは「何にでも挑戦し、精一杯生き、早く成功する」だそうだ。一方では、故郷で「同い年の人と違って、理解されていなかった」としても、日本では「本当の自分を見つけた」と勝ち誇る。「お父さんのお陰でもある。彼はいつもどの活動にも本腰を入れるように教えてくれた。資源もたくさん与えてくれて、７歳の時にパソコンを買ってくれた」。優れた知能と無限な意欲の他に賢明さも。「人間的にまだたくさん成長しなくてはいけない。今はほとんど自分のためだけに生きている」。故郷の懐かしいところと聞くと「今頭をかいている。。」。彼を知るにはこちらまで。 www.stefanolodola.com .

Only 2% of the world population can be member, it is divided in national and regional sections, it is called Mensa, like “table” in Latin, around which all seat in an equal position, assembles member with a record IQ, among which our young ( 24) fellow-citizen Stefano Lodola.
A MSc in industrial engineering from the University of Pisa, before leaving for Japan, where, thanks to a scholarship from the Japanese Government, is attending an MBA, Lodola knew about the prestigious brain club and felt like measuring himself with the entrance examination.
“I have always esteemed intellectual faculties more than others – he candidly admits – thus the image of a society of high-IQ people attracted me at once. Rather than getting a medal, being part of Mensa means mingling with people of value”. Clear ideas and the courage to express them, in this young man who tells us that he found himself only in the country of manga, the comics with which, long time ago he fell in love with. For him, time flies swiftly, shooting to the top, reaching goals earlier than others and consequently with much room for experiments.
“In 2007 I started learning violin and piano and finally, having already passed all the exams need for my degree, I devoted myself to operatic singing”. Having accomplished his duties, Lodola dedicates himself to leisure, delighting his Asian friends with performances where he alternates between singing and cabaret. Doing anything, doing it to the utmost, doing it early. This is how it sounds the commandment of a boy born on the coast, grown feeling “different and misunderstood by those of my same age”, to find himself “a wild animal, completely myself” thousands of kilometers away from home. “it’s also thanks to my father – he says – who always encouraged me to break the limits. When I was 7 he bought me a PC”. Superior intelligence, unbridled determination and even wisdom: “Humanly speaking, I still have to grow much. I live almost exclusively for myself”.
